In addition, the restaurants at Sundance offer a diverse selection of dining options sure to please every palate from grab-and-go foods to elegant fine dining.
Foundry Grill Restaurant: Get an incredible view of 12,000-foot Mount Timpanogos through the wall of windows in the Foundry Grill while you enjoy true Western cooking prepared on the restaurant's large wood-burning grill and rotisserie. In warm weather, the patio opens for outside dining. The Foundry Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner six days a week and brunch and dinner on Sunday. Dress casual. The Tree Room: At Sundance, dining is an art form. Recipient of the prestigious AAA Four-Diamond award and the Wine Spectator award, the Tree Room serves seasonal mountain cuisine. The atmosphere is romantic with candle light and soft illumination accenting the Native American art from Robert Redford's private collection. Dress business casual. The Owl Bar at Sundance: Fraternize with local residents and out-of-town guests against the same rosewood bar frequented by Butch Cassidy and his Hole-in-the-Wall Gang. Lab film and theater artists often meet here in the summer months, and local musicians play on the weekends. Please visit the Sundance Resort web site for more information about Sundance dining.

Travel All rental car services are easy and quick at the SLC Airport. All services are right in the terminal. Your rental vehicle will be typically driven on mountain highways and canyon roads. Winter time, 4WD is a must. We strongly advise you make your reservations in advance.
Digital Cameras and Laptop Computers Due to the proximity of Sundance to film processing, our Workshops are best suited to Digital Photography. Participants are asked to bring a broad range of lenses, two flash units, and tripod. We also ask that all participants coming to The Sundance Photographic Workshop bring their own laptop computer with image processing software installed on your computer, digital memory cards with reader, cables and power adapters for your laptop and digital camera, and lots of extra rechargeable batteries with a charger. Bring plenty of CDs or DVDs for burning images as well. There is a small "General Store" on the mountain. However, the nearest drug store, photo or computer store is a half hour away back down the canyon in Orem. The Sundance Resort is a wireless facility. Cell phone signals vary depending on where one is located at the resort.
Weather The weather at Sundance can vary dramatically depending on the season. The air is dry and the sun blazing. Remember that you will be working at a higher altitude. Therefore, plan on dressing in layers, drinking lots of water. Occasionally you may experience a potential headache due to the elevation. A small back pack to carry your equipment will help you in the field. Dress code is business casual. We recommend a wind breaker, foul weather gear should a likely storm brew in the afternoon, fleeces for that early morning or late afternoon chill and the typical seasonal clothing that will allow you comfort and free motion. A good pair of hiking boots - worn in before you arrive - is strongly advised. Most definitely bring both good UV sunglasses and perhaps a pair of binoculars. The land is big, the views distant. Travel light but be smart. Being uncomfortable can ruin your stay and curtail your experience. View the weather link at www.sundanceresort.com for up to date mountain weather forecasts.
